Homages for Senna, played by Guns N’Roses

I was pretty surprised to see that one of my favourite bands of all time played an homage for Ayrton Senna’s past birthday – celebrated on March 21 – during their last concert in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

The solo wasn’t long, but touching: everybody was amazed and surprised to hear an excerpt from “Tema da vitoria” – the famous hymn that was firstly composed for the Formula 1 Grand Prix in 1984, and was quickly associated with Ayrton Senna’s name and victories.
